Fazl Mosque, Washington, D.C.

The mosque was built up by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1950. The mosque likewise served as the central command of the Ahmadiyya development in the United States until 1994, preceding being moved to Baitur Rehman Mosque in Silver Spring, Maryland. 

The American Fazl Mosque was manufactured as a private living arrangement in 1912. The Colonial Revival-style building is assigned as a contributing property to the Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District, recorded on the National Register of Historic Places.

Islamic Center of Washington

The Center was imagined in 1944 when the Turkish diplomat Münir Ertegün passed on without a mosque to host his memorial service. In 1948 Egypt delegated Kamil Abdel Rahim as Egyptian Ambassador to the United States of America succeeding Ambassador Mahmoud Hassan.
